Nice job, Michael and Anonymous. As far as difficulty goes, I'd say this one is probably around average and a little above. A couple of the answer choices are pretty easy to eliminate since we stretched a bit to make it fit the movie, but the overall concept that the correct answer MUST BE a point of disagreement but the incorrect answers COULD BE disagreement points can get pretty tricky.

It's hard to tell if she's really practicing ANY law right now! In addition to running her own thing, it looks like she's enrolled the MBA program at the U. of Colorado at Denver.

I think she is proably just upset because when she was going to law school she had dreams of working for some high power law firm and dreamed of arguing before the Supreme Court or being a clerk for a justice. But instead ended up being an ambulance chaser.

Is there any information on what kind of law she is actually practising?

I guess the key to being confident is being confident in individual questions' practice during the early days of your practice. Many of us even achieve this kind on confidence.

But the key is being confident of most questions when you are doing say 30-40 questions at a trot under timed conditions.

And the final frontier of confidence is when you are comfortable with different SC CR and RC all mixed up in 41 questions under timed conditions.

Once you achieve that, its just the matter of increasing your stamina and endurance!

I assume you're talking about Question #1. Your three most substantial accomplishments can come from anywhere, although ideally they won't all come from the same job/experience. Also, since this is for the 2+2 Program, the admissions office will expect that at least one or two of your stories to come from your time in college (inside or outside the classroom).

There are four major questions facing MBA programs:
1. Is an MBA’s training necessary to run a major corporation? Obviously no. In 2006 only a paltry 38 percent of Fortune 500 corporations CEO’s have MBA’s. In the retail industry only 26 percent of the 50 largest corporations have MBA’s.
2. Do MBA CEO’s perform better on the job than other CEO’s? Again, the answer is no. As a matter of fact CEO’s with no advanced degree did better with median total return to shareholders, followed by CEO’s with a doctorate and then CEO’s with a master’s degree. MBA CEO’s came in forth, only capable of beating out CEO’s with law degrees.
3. Who does a better job of maintaining the employer-employee compact? Antidotal data suggests that MBA’s do the poorest job of protected their employees and are more prone to terminate employees to increase stock value
4. But what about those CEO’s who commit crimes, lay off employees and get bonuses and compensation increases, or loose millions and get a raise or bonus. Our survey suggests that MBA CEO’s score high in these categories representing between 60 to 70 percent of the scoundrels. This is consistent with the research suggesting that MBA students cheat more than other disciplines of graduate students.
If MBA’s make up only 38 percent of CEO’s but 60 to 70 percent of the greedy CEO’s this implies that business schools are indeed failing.
Think about this. In response to the financial crises and compensation scandals, many deans and educators want to cover over the problems of greed and entitlement associated with a curriculum that teaches MBA to see employees as a commodity and corporate life as a Darwinian struggle. How are they going to solve this problem? By offering oaths.

Good questions, Angie. A couple of clarifications:

1) The question does not say that the agency has 7 cars "of one type"; it merely says, in statement one, that it has 7 cars "total" - it could be 7 of one type, or 6 of one and 1 of another, etc.

2) Because of that, simply dividing the $66,000 by the $9,000 price of one type of car won't give you the answer, as you have to account for the possibility that the agency owns, say, four $9,000 cars (for a subtotal of $36,000) and three $10,000 cars (for a subtotal of $30,000) to equal the total of $66,000.

Actually, because that initial division calculation gives you a noninteger, you can be certain that the agency does not solely own $9,000 cars, as you cannot have a partial car - the number of cars must be an integer.

3) Ratios can certainly be helpful tools on many questions, but on this one I think you may be grasping at straws to try to create one. Data Sufficiency questions are clever in that they reward your flexibility in solving problems; maybe you can't set up a ratio, but you can use other information to solve the problem.

In this case, the fact that the number of cars must be an integer is a key piece of information. If the question were about pounds of flour and sugar in a bakery, for example, you could have the 7.3 pounds that you mentioned above. For cars, that won't work. So, on this question, there may only be (and, ultimately, there only is) one combination of $9,000x + $10,000y that will add to $66,000 with both x and y as integers.

dividing the 66000 by the 9000 gives 7.3 cars...shouldn't the division give a clear cut number of cars? don't I need a ratio? as well, I find the info in the stimulus to contradict the info in the stem: if the showroom have a fleet of 2 different kinds of cars, why would the stem mention it only has 7 cars of one type?

my first impression after solving each of the two statements alone has lead me to choice E: I need a ratio to give the exact number of cars...
